The 2006 season started off a little soggy when the team made the hour and a half trip to Stafford Speedway for practice day April 22nd. Here is a "highlight photo" of our day. We did get to start both cars and check for any leaks before the rain came. Mike Ordway was on hand to warm up the other car.

At Oswego's ISMA opener, Chris had the car on rails as he cruised to his 28th ISMA race win, his 4th win at the big O, and his first since Sept. 1997. "Nine years later and I’m back. I guess it’s a new streak – one in a row." said Chris in his victory lane interview

Waterford after a 19th place finish, this is how the race ended for the 11. We liked Oswego better.

Toledo Ohio was the next race and it ended early on lap 37. This is starting to become a bad habit.

Mansfield Ohio has become a new favorite track, breaking the bad habit, and another win, 3 in a row at Mansfield.  Can we race here every week?

An off week for ISMA so Chris went to Oswego to drive the #72 of Greg Furlong
Chris decided to slide it sideways in turn 4 so that Jim Feeney could take this cool picture

This unlucky bat was flying in the wrong place at the wrong time, somewhere between Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

Some racing action during the heat race at Jennerstown

The first 30 lap race at Jennerstown ended like this

The 2nd 30 lap race ended this way, I guess that's what they mean by "Twin 30's"
Three days later and we raced at Stafford Springs Speedway in Ct. We brought Bentley Warren along for the fun and he set fast time of the day in the #71 car.
Chris came out the winner again for the 3rd time in 4 days and the 5th time of the year.
Sandusky Hy-Miler Nationals weekend, Friday night 40 lap feature and the winner was ----
Saturday's 100 lap race was exciting and Chris took the lead on lap 85 and won his 7th feature and 6th in a row, both new records on the ISMA tour.
Mansfield Ohio - Friday night 40 lap race, the end of the win streak, but there was some great racing anyway.
Saturday's 75 lap race saw more great racing action and the result was better too. Win #8 and the start of a new streak?

8/18/06 - Friday night at Lee USA Speedway, the new streak is broken again when Chris finished 2nd. He still got a trophy and gave it to Vic's grandson in victory lane. Chris says the kids like trophys because they're shiny.

9/09/06 - The Star Classic was next on the ISMA tour as the Oswego Supernationals were postponed due to an extremely wet weekend. We took both cars and were hoping for a repeat finish like last year but we had to settle for a very lucky 4th place finish with the #11

Bentley drove the #71 and after several incidents on the track, he decided to pit on lap 131 and call it a night before something really bad happened. His official finishing position was 12th. Both cars were fast in practice but a "Bad" batch of right rear tires slowed both cars in the 200 lap feature.
9/17/06 - Oswego's Bud Light Supernationals was run on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Both cars again were the fastest cars in the pits. Chris went on to win his heat race......
but the owner of Bentley's Saloon, went on to pass Chris and Dave McKnight with 5 laps to go and took the checkers in an extremely popular win.
9/29/06 We made our only trip to Canada, Delaware Speedway in Delaware Ontario. A rough track but Chris managed a very lucky win here, # 9
The next night after a 5 hour ride further west, we raced at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mi. Rain washed out the heat races but we were lucky again that the feature was run, even if it only went 24 laps. Win # 10
10/15/06 Thompson Speedway. Chris won his heat race on Saturday but a broken shock took him out of the race on Sunday while he had a commanding lead.
Bentley had a better time on Sunday, finishing 2nd in the #71, with a fuel leak that probably slowed him enough  to keep him from winning.
