The Top 50

Supermodified

Drivers

Of 2005

After reading Danny Kapuscinski`s top 50 supermodified drivers of 2005 results, I thought it`d be cool to add some photos along with his words. I`d really like to thank Danny for letting me put this together to share wiith everyone as well as thanks to John Davidson from Supermodified Scorecard.com, and Chris Nicastro for allowing me to fill in the gaps of the photos I was missing as well as everyone else who sent along photos and links to help put this section together! Thanks a ton everyone!

#1 Chris Perley (ISMA): 853 points- Despite running one fewer race than Pat Abold (the Oswego Classic), and finishing 2nd to him in the ISMA standings, Perley's 5 wins in 2005 and string of 3-in-a-row to end the year make him the #1 driver of 2005 by just 3 points. Driving the Vic Miller #11, the Rowley Rocket graced victory lane at Seekonk in June, Mansfield in August, Star in September claiming the 40th annual Star Classic, Mansfield again this time the 100-lapper in October, and Thompson to conclude the season. When it is all said and done, Perley's quick time in qualifying for the Star Classic could be seen as the turning point for Perley and his run to #1. A driver qualifying #1 in a Classic event recieves 10 points- Wood at Sandusky, Furlong at Oswego, and Perley at Star.

#2 Pat Abold (ISMA): 850 points- Pat Abold had a banner year on the ISMA trail, visiting victory lane 3 times on his way to the series championship driving the Dunigan Racing #26. Abold won at Jennerstown and Toledo in June, while also claiming the Sandusky Classic crown in July. Abold was on his game in all the big races, finishing 3rd in the 40th annual Star Classic, and time trialing into the Oswego Classic driving the Craig Rayvals owned #95. Abold dropped out of the race on lap 160 and finished 17th. Abold had a great stretch run to finish the season, as mentioned earlier he finished 3rd in the Star Classic, then 2nd at Mansfield in October, and 2nd again at Thompson to end the season. Only one driver had a better stretch run.

#3 Greg Furlong (OSW): 823 points- Greg Furlong dominated the Oswego Speedway in 2005 behind the wheel of his #72 Hawk Chassis. When Furlong finished he won, visiting victory lane in 12 of the 17 races held at the Big 'O' on his way to the Track Championship. Greg ran a total of 18 features in 2005, 16 at Oswego (he did not start the last feature of the season due to his miraculous crash on the back straight), and 2 on the ISMA trail. While running with the wing, Furlong finished 18th at Jennerstown and 12th in the Oswego Supernationals, a race he won the year before. Furlong was the only driver in '05 to win two of the 'Big 6'. He captured the $12,500 to win 65-lap Mr. Supermodified at Oswego, and of course the illustrious $20,000 to win Oswego Classic on Labor Day weekend- the 4th of his career. Coming into 2005 Furlong had won 20 Supermodified features, add 12 more in 2005 and Furlong is up to 32 life-time putting him 6th on the Speedways all-time list. He is just one feature behind Doug Heveron and Joe Gosek for 5th, and 9 behind the legendary Nolan Swift for 4th. Furlong won 9 heat races in 2005, finished in the top5 12 times and also sat on the pole for the Oswego Classic, breaking the track record. You may be asking yourself, how is Furlong not #1? Well, Oswego's car counts on the average were less than ISMA's, meaning the two drivers ahead of Greg had more opportunities to run for more points. Also, had Greg finished the 100-lap Grand Prix, he likely would have been #1.

#4 Russ Wood (ISMA): 732 points- Woody had a great season by most people's standards, but likely a so-so year for his own standards. The Dunigan Racing #29 only visited victory lane once in 2005, coming at Stafford in July. Wood and team were still up front enough to finish 4th in the series standings. As always Wood was competitive in the year's Classic events, coming across the line in 2nd in the Sandusky Classic, as well as the 40th annual Star Classic gaining valuable top50 points.

#5 Nokie Fonoro (ISMA): 605 points- Driving the Danny Soule #32, Fonoro visited victory lane 3 times on the ISMA trail, on route to a third place finish in the ISMA standings. Nokie ran to victory at Cayuga in July, Lee USA in August, and in the Oswego Supernationals on Labor Day Weekend. Fonoro also had good runs in the Sandusky Classic finishing 6th, along with a 10th in the 40th annual Star Classic. Look for the #32 to be a threat for the title in 2006.

#6 Dave McKnight (ISMA/MSA): 594 points- McKnight was the iron man of 2005, competing in 22 features between ISMA, MSA, and the Oswego Classic. McKnight finished 3rd at Seekonk, and 4th in the Sandusky Classic on his way to a 5th place finish in the ISMA standings. McKnight then teamed with Lou Cicconi and May Motorsports on the MSA tour, where he picked up his only feature win of the season in a 50-lapper at Sandusky in July. The duo finished 3rd in the MSA standings. May Motorsports and McKnight also competed in the Oswego Classic in 2005. Dave qualified solidly into the field and ran up front the whole day, finishing 4th in the 200-lap Classic.

#7 Bob Bond (OSW): 476 points- Bob Bond ran all 17 races at the Oswego Speedway in 2005 finishing 3rd in the Oswego standings, but is still searching for his first career victory. Bond finished 2nd to Gosek in the Coca-Cola Kickoff, and 2nd again to Didero in the Grand Prix 100 in July. He then finished 4th in the Mr. Supermodified, 3rd in the Classic Tune-Up 75, and 7th in the Oswego Classic. You can't come much closer to victory lane than Bond did in 2005. He was the "Up and Comer" 9 times in the 2005 season, and finished in the top5 10 times... only to be outdone by Greg Furlong. Here's to Bob Bond getting to victory lane in 2006!

#8 Mike Lichty (ISMA): 471 points- Driving the Lichty Racing #84, Mike Lichty went on to a 6th place finish in the ISMA standings. Lichty ran a total of 15 events in 2005 one of which was with the MSA, and the other was the Oswego Classic. Those two races were likely the young drivers highlights of the season. Lichty attempted to qualify for the Oswego Classic in 2004 but did not qualify, this season he tried in the Patco #74 and time trialed solidly in the field. The Innerkip, ONT driver took many by surprise when he ended the 200-lap grind in 5th place. From there Lichty traveled to the MSA season finale at Mansfield, and picked up his first career Supermodified victory. Lichty also brought home another 5th place Classic finish in July in the Sandusky Classic.

#9 Dave Shullick Jr. (MSA): 468 points- Shoe 2 won the first 2 events of the 2005 MSA season in the Steve Stout #49, at Sandusky and Berlin, on his way to the '05 MSA Championship. Shullick is now 2nd all-time on the MSA win-list with 7, "6" wins behind Timmy Jedrzejek. Shullick also ran a handful of events on the ISMA tour in '05 as well. Shullick ran 8th at both Toledo in June, and in the Sandusky Classic in July

#10 Scott Martel (ISMA): 467 points- Martel joined the Lane Racing Team in 2005, taking the #97 to a 7th place finish in the series standings. Martel ran very well in the Classic events he competed in, finishing 3rd in the Sandusky Classic (as well as 6th the night before), and 5th in the Star Classic. Martel had several other top runs including a 3rd at Lee USA.

#11 Troy Regier (SRL photo from www.supermodifiedscorecard.com): 463 points- Troy Regier was the toast of the west coast in 2005 behind the wheel of the S&S Motorsports Baby Blue #98. Regier won 8 of 10 SRL races in 2005 including the Vukovich Memorial (one of the 'Big 6') at Madera in May, on his way to yet another SRL Supermodified Championship. Regier is no doubt a top10 contender nationally, but only running 10 features, and the lower west coast car counts keep him out of the top10 this year.

image

#12 Joe Gosek (OSW): 454 points- "Go Joe" Gosek ran 20 Supermodified features in 2005, putting him in 2nd for most features run. He ran one MSA event for May Motorsports finishing 5th at Toldeo in August. Gosek also drove for the May team in a handful of ISMA events throughout the season finishing 14th the night before the Hy-Miler and 9th in the Sandusky Classic. Joe also came home with a 5th place finish in the Oswego Supernationals. At Oswego, Gosek piloted the Jeff Carson owned #27, and quickly visited victory lane picking up the win in the Coca-Cola Kickoff 45 lapper. That would turn out to be Joe's only win of the year, but he did manage a 4th in the Grand Prix 100, a 6th in the Mr. Supermodified, and also a 2nd on August 6th AND on August 13th in the Classic Tune-Up 75 a race that Joe lead from lap 43-74 before Furlong snagged the lead. Gosek finished 22nd in the Oswego Classic.

image

#13 Tim Snyder (OSW): 441 points- The "Zero Hero" took some time to adapt to his brand new Hawk Chassis #0, but when they figured it out, Snyder was a force every week. For the second straight year Snyder finished 2nd in the Oswego Speedway point standings, helped by a late season charge. Snyder won the final 2 races of the season at the Big 'O', capping a season in which he won 10 heat races and finished in the top5 8 times. Snyder finished 2nd in the Mr. Supermodified, but a disappointing 20th in the Oswego Classic.

image

#14 Tim Gareau (OSW): 421 points- The 2004 Oswego Speedway Track Champion, and former Mr. Supermodified, ran 16 of the 17 races at the Big 'O' in 2005 on his way to a 4th place finish in the standings. Gareau, and his #5 Page Chassis, finished 3rd in the Shampine Memorial 100 in May, followed by a 4th on June 11, a 6th in the Grand Prix 100, and a 5th in the Mr. Supermodified. Gareau did not pick up a feature win in 2005, but was very close on two occasions on August 13th as he finished 2nd in both legs of the Twin 30's. Gareau came home 12th in the Oswego Classic.

#15 Charlie Schultz (MSA photo by Chris Nicastro): 400 points- Charlie Schultz ran 14 events in 2005 between the MSA, in the George Shullick owned #61 Showcar, and some ISMA events driving for May Motorsports. Schultz finished 2nd in the MSA standings in '05, just 6 points behind champion Dave Shullick Jr. The Lorain, OH driver picked up one feature win on the year coming at the Auto City Speedway in July, and finished 2nd in the Dion Parish Memorial at Kalamazoo. With ISMA Schultz failed to qualify the night before the Hy-Miler, but did bounce back the following evening with a 15th in the Sandusky Classic driving the May Motorsports #77. Schultz also came home in 12th at Mansfield in August, and 16th in October driving the #77.

#16 Moe Lilje (MSA): 373 points- Lilje ran 15 events in 2005 between the MSA and ISMA tours. Lilje visited victory lane once in '05, and it was in one of the "Big 6" for the season. Moe marched to victory in the Dion Parish Memorial at Kalamazoo ahead of Charlie Schultz. He also took the ACME Racing #19 to a 3rd place finish at Berlin on his way to a 4th place finish in the MSA standings. With ISMA, Lilje finished 4th at Mansfield in October.

#17 Kyle Carpenter (ISMA): 366 pointsKyle "The Smile" Carpenter, as he has been called, ran 12 features in 2005 on the ISMA tour driving the Howie Lane owned #9. No doubt the highlight of Carpenter's year and career was his first ever Super feature victory coming at the Sandusky Speedway the night before the Hy-Miler. Carpenter lead all of the 40-lap event, coming off of a hard crash at Toledo in June. After missing a couple of races, Carpenter still managed to bring the Lane Racing #9 home in 11th in the standings. Carpenter ran to a 6th place finish at the Star Classic, and was behind the wheel of the Lair #88 for a short time at the Oswego Speedway Classic Weekend looking to make the Classic, before opting to leave the situation allowing Justin Belfiore into the ride. Belfiore ended his day upside down on the back stretch.

#18 Otto Sitterly (OSW): 356 points- Otto Sitterly, who made himself known at the Oswego Speedway drving his own #79 Supermodified, ran the majority of the season in the Peri Racing #14 after selling his own Super to rookie Andy Noto. Sitterly missed 2 races between selling his car, and hooking up with Peri, but still managed to run to a 10th place finish in the point standings. Sitterly finished 2nd in the Shampine Memorial 100 in his own #79, but took quickly to the Peri #14 finishing 3rd in the Grand Prix 100, and 5th in the Classic Tune-Up 75. Several other top5 finishes truly showed Sitterly's talent, and the capabilities of the Peri #14.

#19 Jonathan McKennedy (ISMA): 355 points- McKennedy is the highest finising rookie on our list, making him the 2005 National Rookie of the Year. The Chelmsford, MA driver took his Dunigan Racing #79 to an 8th place finish in the ISMA standings. McKennedy had a season best 4th place finish at Mansfield Speedway, but also had top10's at Cayuga, Thompson, Toledo, Jennerstown, Stafford, and Oswego followed up with an 11th place finish in the Sandusky Classic.

#20 Lou Cicconi (ISMA/MSA): 346 points- "Liquid" Lou ran 16 Supermodified features in 2005, between his own #75 on the ISMA trail and the May Motorsports #7 on the MSA circuit. On the MSA tour Cicconi and teammate Dave McKnight ran to a 3rd place finish in the standings, with Cicconi picking up a 30-lap victory at Lorain County in August. While running with the ISMA bunch, the Aston, PA pilot won the season opener at Waterford- bringing his season win total to 2 for the 2005 season, becoming the first driver on our list with multiple wins. Cicconi and his Drinan chassis also picked up a 2nd place finish at Stafford, as well as a 3rd at Toledo on his way to a 13th place finish in the season points.

#21 Randy Ritskes (ISMA): 337 points- Rapid Randy Ritskes ran 12 races in 2005, 11 on the ISMA trail, and as always the Oswego Classic on Labor Day Weekend. Ritskes started the year on the right foot by finishing 3rd in the ISMA season opener at Waterford. With the wing, Ritskes also came home 11th in the Star Classic, but missing 3 features relegated Ritskes to 15th in the standings. The bright spot of the Oswegonian's year was likely his fine run in the Oswego Classic in the Howie Lane #97. Ritskes started in the top10 and took the lead from lap 59-100, then again on 115 until 151 when Furlong took the lead for good. Ritskes went on to finish 3rd behind Furlong and Didero

#22 Mike Ordway (OSW/ISMA): 330 points- Of the top competitors in Super racing in '05, Mike Ordway and Clyde Booth would have to get the hard luck award of the year. Competing in 12 events between the Oswego Speedway and ISMA, the former Classic Champion, Oswego Track Champion, Mr. Supermodified, and ISMA Champion did not pick up a single feature win on the year after dominating at Oswego in previous years. Several accidents at the big 'O' kept the 61 from victory lane. On the ISMA trail, mechanical issues kept the team from starting the Sandusky Classic, and the silver bullet could only muster a 21st place finish at Star. Ordway did finish 2nd at Toldeo and Jennerstown in June behind eventual ISMA champion Pat Abold.

#23 Joe Petro (ISMA): 324 points- Petro is another up and comer in the ISMA ranks. He ran the entire ISMA schedule in '05 on his way to a 9th place finish in the season standings. Petro finished 8th in the Star Classic, along with 4th place finishes at Waterford and Seekonk. Watch for the silver #33 in '06.

#24 Mark Sammut (ISMA): 323 points- This Canadian ran all 14 events on the ISMA schedule in '05 finishing 10th in the season standings. Sammut also competed in one MSA event, and attempted to qualify once again for the Oswego Classic, this time in a Bruce Budnick entry. Sammut's best run of the year came with a 2nd place finish at Cayuga in July behind Nokie Fonoro. Sammut also finished 7th in the Sandusky Classic, and 14th in the 40th annual Star Classic. Look for this maple leafed #78 in victory lane in '06.

#25 Doug Didero (OSW): 322 points- Didero was the hard charger of the '05 season behind the wheel of the Syrell #08. He competed in only 5 events all season, but managed a top25 spot. Didero's shining moment came on July 2nd when he captured the Grand Prix 100 at Oswego, giving team owner Gary Syrell his first career victory. Doug also came home 2nd in the famed Oswego International Classic behind Greg Furlong, and 3rd in the Mr. Supermodified. The #08 also had a fine run going in the Shampine Memorial 100 when mechanical problems sidelined the team. Didero is rumored to have a new car in the works for '06

#26 Bob Magner (OSW/ISMA): 292 points- Driving the Holbrook owned #35, Magner ran 15 races in 2005 mixed between the Oswego Speedway and the ISMA trail. Magner was one of only two drivers to run in 4 of the big 6 Supermodified events in 2005. Magner finished 12th in the Mr. Supermodified, 12th in the Sandusky Classic, 23rd in the Oswego Classic, and 9th in the Star Classic. On top of that he ran to a 4th place finish in the Shampine Memorial 100 at Oswego in May. Had Magner had the opportunity to focus on either ISMA or Oswego full-time, theres no doubt he would have been a weekly contender.

#27 Pat Lavery (OSW): 286 points- Lavery had a career year at Oswego in '05, running all 17 races on his way to a 6th place finish in the season standings. Lavery had several top10 and top5 runs in 2005, including a 3rd and 4th in the Twin 30's on August 13th, behind the wheel of the Pat and Terry Strong #99. Lavery also time trialed into the Oswego Classic for the first time in his career, going on to a 15th place finish.

#28 Bentley Warren: 278 points- The ageless veteran just keeps plugging away year after year. In '05 Bentley ran just 5 races (2- Oswego, 3- ISMA), but finished in the top10 in every race he ran. Warren scored a 3rd place finish in the Oswego ISMA Supernationals in the Vic Miller #0, then backed it up with a 6th in the Oswego Classic in the Furlong #22. He he kept the string going the next weekend finishing 4th in the Star Classic for Miller, then came back to Oswego to finish 2nd in October for Furlong, then to Thompson and an 8th place finish again for Miller. Bentley continues to amaze everyone year after year, but believe it or not he was not the highest finishing driver in the top50 with only 5 starts.

#29 Bob Goutermout (OSW): 278 points- In what is said to be his final season behind the wheel, Goutermout ran all 17 races at the Big 'O' in '05, finishing 5th in the series standings. A former back-to-back winner of the $10,000 to win Mr. Supermodified, Goutermout picked up one feature win at Oswego in the 2nd Twin 30 event on August 13th. That feature win brings his total to 13, putting him in a three way tie in 17th place all-time with fellow former Limited Super grad Tim Gareau, and former Classic Champion Art Bennett.

#30 Brandon Bellinger (OSW): 277 points- Bellinger had quite the sophomore season behind the wheel of the Groves #02. He competed in all 17 races at the Oswego Speedway, on his way to an 8th place finish in the series standings, finishing every race which he competed in if I remember correctly. His last 4 races of the season were his best, finishing 6th in the Classic Tune-up 75, 10th in his first Oswego Classic, 5th on Sept 24th, and 3rd on October 8th just behind Bentley Warren. The familiar flamed #02 is definitely back!

#31 Craig Rayvals (OSW): 276 points- Canadian Craig "Hollywood" Rayvals ran all 17 races at the Oswego Speedway in 2005, and also fielded an entry for ISMA champion Pat Abold in the Oswego Classic. Rayvals, who had one feature victory in '04, did not vist victory lane in '05 but did come home 7th in the championship standings. Rayvals finished 2nd to Tim Snyder in September, and also ran to a strong 9th place finish in the Oswego Classic.

#32 Justin Belfiore (ISMA): 273 points- The Ipswich, MA driver, who pilots his own family chassis, rode to a 12th place finish in the ISMA standings in 2005, competed in all 14 events. Belfiore picked up 10th place finishes in the Sandusky Classic, as well as the Oswego Supernationals, a race he nearly won in 2004. The #8 Belfiore chassis also finished runner-up to Kyle Carpenter the night before the Hy-Miler.

#33 Randy Burch (MSA): 249 points- Randy Burch competed full time with the MSA bunch in '05, while also entering in a handful of ISMA events, bringing his feature count to 15. Burch won one feature on the MSA trail in '05 at Auto City Speedway, on his way to a 4th place finish in the series standings. Last season Burch attempted to qualify for the Oswego Classic in a Todd Stowell entry, but this year Burch came to Oswego and competed with his own #52 in the ISMA Supernationals on Saturday night instead

#34 Jeff Russell (SRL photo from www.supermodifiedscorecard.com ): 235 points- Jeff Russell was the 4th place finisher in the SRL standings for 2005. Russell took his #85 to a 3rd place finish in the Vukovich Memorial, which boosted him past many other West coast drivers on our list for 2005.

#35 Mike Baisch (SRL photo from www.supermodifiedscorecard.com): 224 points- Baisch and his #96 were runner-ups in the SRL standings in 2005. He had one feature victory on the season, coming at Douglas County Speedway on July 16th. Baisch had a 7th place run in the Vukovich Memorial in May behind contenders such as Regier, Jeff Russell, McCann, and Tartaglia. A higher finish would have moved him further up our list.

#36 Mike McCann (SRL photo from www.supermodifiedscorecard.com): 224 points- McCann was a regular competitor in the SRL in '05, and picked up his lone feature victory of the season in a 40-lapper at Meridian Speedway on June 4th. Quite the feat considering Troy Regier won 8 of 10 in '05 (you'll see him much later). McCann and his #14 finished 3rd in the series standings.

#37 Denny Fisher (MSA): 220 points- Driving the Jaycox #81, as well as the Churchill #05, Fisher competed full time on the MSA tour and also ran select ISMA events totaling 13 features. Fisher picked up his 3rd career MSA win, and first ever at Sandusky Speedway in June of '05 on his way to a 7th place finish in the standings. Fisher was also the series lap leader (50).

#38 Dan Kapuscinski (OSW): 217 points- Driving the Bliss Bros. Racing #65, Kapuscinski ran all 17 races at the Oswego Speedway in '05. In an up and down year, Kapuscinski did manage 8th place finishes in the 4th of July Grand Prix 100, as well as the Mr. Supermodified event. The team also qualified for the Oswego Classic, finishing 14th, and finished 11th in the season long point battle.

#39 Bob Dawson (MSA photo from Chris Nicastro): 216 points- Dawson ran 11 features on the MSA tour in '05, finishing 8th in the standings behind the wheel of the Craig Reed owned Graves chassis #28. Dawson won three heat races in '05 in the MSA putting him second on the list behind Denny Fisher.

#40 Jack Smith (MSA): 215 points- Smith was a regular on the MSA circuit in '05, and also dabbled with some ISMA events as well. Smith picked up one feature win in '05 on the MSA tour at Mansfield in July. Unlike in years past, Smith did not attempt to qualify for the Oswego Classic in his #09. He did finish the year 12th in the MSA standings.

#41 Rick Wentworth (ISMA): 210 points- Rick Wentworth, the owner-driver from Haverhill, MA, picked up his first feature victory last season on the ISMA tour. Unfortunately '05 did not go as expected. Wentworth ran 10 of the 14 ISMA features on his way to a 17th place finish in the standings. Wentworth did manage a 7th place finish in the 40th annual Star Classic.

#42 Joey Payne (ISMA): 209 points- Joey Payne ran 11 Super events in 2005, complementing his full schedule of NEMA midget races as well. Payne ran 10 ISMA events, while also time trialing into yet another Oswego International Classic. If this poll were based on talent alone, theres no doubt "The Jet" would be in the top5, but unfortunately the numbers put him lower on the list than he likely deserves.

#43 Jon Henes (MSA): 207 points- Jon Henes was in ways "the people's driver" of '05. The Henes family has been in Super racing for a long time, with limited success. But finally in August Henes brought home his first career Super feature at the Toledo Speedway, on his way to a 6th place finish in the MSA standings. As an extra bonus, Henes earned a guaranteed spot in the Oswego International Classic. Henes struggled through time trials, not making the cut for the guaranteed spot, and had to race his way in. Henes, who had become a fan favorite for making the trek from Ohio to Oswego (something you rarely see anymore), raced his way into the show in the 1st heat race to earn himself a spot in his 1st International Classic. Henes kept busy the entire season also competing at select Midwest ISMA events, bringing his total feature count to the maximum of 15 races.

#44 Keith Gilliam (OSW): 197 points- Driver by day, Sheriff by night, Keith Gilliam ran 12 races at the Oswego Speedway in 2005. Gilliam had a flurry of good finishes to start '05, including a 7th place finish in the Shampine Memorial 100 in May. Unfortunately some hard luck later in the season, forced Gilliam to miss a few races. He did however qualify for another International Classic at Oswego.

#45 Jim Tartaglia (SRL photo from www.supermodifiedscorecard.com): 171 points- Long time west coast competitor, Jim Tartaglia, competed in just 5 west coast races in 2005. When he did run, he ran well, particularly in the Vukovich Memorial in May. Tartaglia finished 2nd to SRL champion Troy Regier.

#46 Rich Reid (MSA photo bu Chris Nicastro): 162 points- Our first MSA driver on the list, Rich Reid ran 9 feature events in '05. The New London, OH driver finished 11th in the MSA standings, and had a number of decent runs in his #55.

#47 AJ Russell (SRL photo from www.supermodifiedscorecard.com): 159 points- Russell competed in 7 events on the west coast this season all in the SRL. He finished 8th in the SRL standings, but he recieved the bulk of his points through his 5th place finish in the Vukovich Memorial in May at Madera Speedway.

#48 Keith Shampine (OSW): 157 points- The 2005 Oswego ROY had a tremendous late season at the Big O. He qualified for his 1st International Classic, finishing 13th, and culminated his season with a strong 6th place finish inthe season finale. A top6 which featured Warren, Bellinger, and Shampine. Keith will return in '06 with the former Witkum Roadster, which was piloted into the Classic this past year by Mike Barnes.

#49 Ricky Otts (SRL/ERA photo from www.supermodifiedscorecard.com): 142 points- Ricky competed in 7 features in the '05 season in both the SRL and ERA west coast series. The bulk of Ricky's success came on the ERA circuit where he captured 1 feature victory and the series championship, which consisted of three events at the Colorado National Speedway.

#50 Todd Stowell (OSW): 138 points- Todd started 12 feautres in '05 at the Oswego Speedway. The highlight of Todd's season was likely qualifying on the front row for the Oswego International Classic in the Extreme Chassis.
